What about the solo ukulele Christmas CD?Since I missed the Christmas deadline, I’ve been focused on other important matters that had been neglected during the busy holiday season. Pre-release copies have been sent to everyone who pre-ordered, and I will be finishing the album artwork and liner notes for the “real thing” as quickly as my schedule allows. If you’d like to be notified when the finished product is available, please consider subscribing to my e-mail list (see the top of the right-hand sidebar). The disc will contain the following tracks: |

Hi Benji, love the album, its great to hear the banjo played in a more melancholic way. My playing style is mostly frenetic and fast bluegrass. Do you sell the TAB of your music?
thanks, Malt
Hi Malt,
Glad you’ve enjoyed the album! I don’t currently have tablature for any of my pieces, but it’s certainly under consideration. I’ll be putting out a “solo banjo vol. 2″ CD next year, and I might look into putting out a book with the tab from both CDs. If you’re subscribed to my e-mail list, you’ll be among the first to hear about any such developments.

Benji,
I just discovered your music today. I have played guitar, dulcimer, mandolin, and even bouzouki for years now. I do love to play, but these instruments haven’t satisfied something in my aesthetic tastes. I’d find something with great tone, but not the resonance I wanted, or whatever. Seriously, your solo banjo work is amazing. It moved me.
Did you put in the Sampson bridge yourself? Given my music experience, do you think I should give a banjo a shot?
Would you have any recommendations?
Benji, this is gorgeous stuff. I just ordered the banjo CD. Thanks for sharing your tunings on the website, btw. If and when you publish a book of tab, count me in. I hope to drive up to Mamaroneck, NY in March to the Monroe Crossing gig. Best wishes, VL
