Due to industrial cost-cutting shenanigans, the base model of drone you’ve been using no longer includes lateral maneuvering thrusters, forward speed controls, or turbo boosters. On the upside, this means that your drone will be much simpler to control.

Whenever you start with a fresh drone, all you need to do is use the mouse or arrow keys to point in the direction you want to fly. You can still roll your view to the left or right, but they’re charging extra for all the other modules now.

Thankfully, this new modularity means you can upgrade far beyond the original specifications, potentially making your drone much more speedy and agile than was previously possible.

Since the existing tutorial hasn’t been updated to reflect this change, it has been disabled for the time being. By next week, each new movement upgrade you unlock will trigger a dedicated tutorial for that equipment. (The ability to switch off all tutorials will also be added to the options menu soon.)

Refinements to the sound and music have continued, with additional tweaks to overall balance and audio processing.

Last week’s issue causing loss of synchronization between the soundtrack and the rest of the game has been resolved. As an unexpected bonus, the musical timing of the other sounds and actions was dramatically improved by the required internal changes.

Finally, your drone’s LEDs have been modified to flash brightly when they are switched on or off, and this should make it easier to notice changes to your health or energy levels.

As always, the download link is available from the Ko-Fi post.
