A Handful of Tweaks

Most of this week’s work has gone into an experimental branch which is not quite ready for release, but you’ll still find several significant little tweaks in the new demo.

Firstly, I’ve disabled the Orb Magnet upgrade, because the current starting drone model (other models Coming Soon…) already has the associated stat maxed out.

I also added a collision sound for the saucers, and allowed them to do a nominal amount of damage if they hit you. This doesn’t happen very often, but it always felt weird not to have any visual or auditory feedback when it did.

The LED meters are a bit more responsive now, with separate thresholds for how much of an increase or decrease in brightness will make them “flash”.

On a related note, I’ve moved the mission timer down a bit, so it no longer overlaps the Magic Space Woo-Woo meter so much.
