At Your Option

It’s been exactly one year since my initial announcement about this project. It’s very satisfying to look back at that first screenshot, and realize how far things have come!

This week has seen the laying of additional foundations. Specifically, there is now a system for managing game options from a text-based configuration file.

At the moment, there is only one setting which is handled this way - the game will remember whether it was running in fullscreen mode or not, and will display itself in the same mode the next time it is launched.

In the near future, however, this change will finally allow me to add an options menu with some vital quality-of-life features, such as the ability to adjust mouse sensitivity, tweak graphics settings, or rebind the keys.

Meanwhile, work has continued on the internal structural overhaul, and I expect it to bear much fruit very soon now!

As usual, the download link is available from the Ko-Fi post.
