It’s been a whirlwind of a week,
and once again I’m left with very little time to tell you about all the new stuff.
In many ways, this is actually the biggest update in weeks,
so I wish I could go over it in greater detail, but here’s a quick overview of everything new:
Spellcrafting system
- Added the ability to customize your spell before gameplay
- Added alternate movement and weapon sigils to your default set
- Added Spellcrafting item to Main Menu
- Any 3 sigils can now be combined to draft a new sigil based on their combined powers
- Unwanted sigils can be dissolved for extra Woo-Woo
- Sigils of any tier can be drafted between missions by spending enough Woo-Woo
- 1500 Woo-Woo is immediately available for spellcrafting when the game launches
- Successfully completing a mission earns a percentage-based commission from the Woo-Woo you collected
- If at least 3 new sigils have been earned during a mission (even if you die), you can pick one of them to keep
Upgrade selection system
- Upgrade selection is now triggered manually by the Tab key
- The Woo-Woo collection meter will pulse when 1 or more upgrades are ready
- Added a new preference option to show/hide a separate text prompt for leveling up
- Added a new preference option to interrupt gameplay and show level-up dialog immediately (restores original behavior)
- The mission clock now stops while you select upgrades
- Your position is now locked while selecting upgrades
- Power-ups no longer decay while selecting upgrades
Other things
- Reduced physics intensity of player collisions
- Added extreme speed effect to teleportation visuals.
- Reduced power-up star levels from 3 to 2
- Added Warbeat power (makes auto-fire optional and upgradeable instead of a core feature)
